High School Students - Enrollment

Enrollment and Registration Instructions for High School Students:
Because High School students include their payment in full, as well as their course selection with their applications, their enrollment process is slightly different. However, all fee and enrollment deadlines apply. To avoid paying late fees, please make sure and apply and pay by the deadline date.

Once students are accepted into the Summer Session program, the Summer Session Office creates the academic record and enrolls the student into the class listed on the application form.

If any changes are to be made to course selections after the application is submitted, please contact the Student Services Manager via email at summer@ucsd.edu and explain the changes. Changes must be submitted in writing.

Once a student is enrolled in selected courses, the Summer Session Office will mail an enrollment confirmation as well as the student PID and PAC to the address listed on the application.

DO NOT LOSE THE PID and PAC/PASSWORD. You will need them to see your grades, order transcripts and view your bill on-line.

If you lose your password, you can reset it here.

When students are enrolled and paid in full they are considered "Registered" and the process is complete.

UCSD only offers financial aid to UCSD students. Visiting High School Students may be eligible for financial aid assistance from their home campus, however. Contact your home campus for instructions on how to apply.

First Week Course Changes
During the first week of classes (June 29 - July 6 or August 3 - August 7) students may simultaneously drop and add one course without late fees.

If the course being added has additional fees, such as a material fee or a higher course fee, the additional fees must be paid when adding the course.

Beginning July 7 for Session I and August 8 for Session II, the late enrollment period ends.  Students wishing to enroll after this time must fill out a petition and have it signed by the professor, the department offering the course, their college and the CEP.  Please review the CEP policy prior to completing a petition.  Visiting students should contact the Summer Session office for more information on the petition process.
