UCSD Students - Enrollment

The following instructions are for UCSD Students, if you are starting in the fall or if you are not a UCSD student, please select the Visiting Students tab above.

Enrollment Instructions for UCSD Students:
Enrollment is a 3 step process and begins April 13, 2009 by appointment time.  You will be notified via email sent during the week of April 6 - 10 that apppointment times are available on tritonlink.ucsd.edu.

  1. Enroll in courses via Web Reg beginning April 13 up to July 6 for Session I and August 7 for Session II.
  2. Pay for enrolled course. You will not be able to pay for Session I or Special Session courses until May 22. You will not be able to pay for Session II courses until June 30.  If you do not pay for your courses by the fee deadlines, you will be dropped from your courses. If you are a financial aid student, you will not be dropped for nonpayment but if you forget to drop unwanted courses, you may receive a grade of "F" for non-attendance, and be billed for the courses.
  3. Double check your academic record to confirm that you are enrolled in the correct course(s).

Session I and Special Session Fee Deadline:  June 22
Session I last day to enroll using Web Reg:
  July 6
Session II Fee Deadline:  July 27
Session II last day to enroll using Web Reg:  August 7

If you enroll in a course after the fee deadline, payment must be made right away.  Non-payment does not automatically cancel course enrollment or financial responsibility.

First Week Course Changes
During the first week of classes (June 29 - July 6 or August 3 - August 7) students may simultaneously drop and add one course without late fees.

If the course being added has additional fees, such as a material fee or a higher course fee, the additional fees must be paid when adding the course.

Beginning July 7 for Session I and August 8 for Session II, the late enrollment period ends.  Students wishing to enroll after this time must fill out a petition and have it signed by the professor, the department offering the course, their college and the CEP.  Please review the CEP policy prior to completing a petition.  Visiting students should contact the Summer Session office for more information on the petition process.
