Summer Session Travel Study 2008

This summer, two Travel Study programs are being offered through the Anthropology Department at UCSD. Both programs are led by UCSD faculty and will be field study courses allowing students to interact directly with faculty and subject matter on a daily basis.

The UCSD Rio Muerto Archaeological Field School will take place in Moquegua, Peru from July 2 - August 4, 2008 and will be led by Professor Paul Goldstein.  Students will be required to enroll in ANAR 199s for 8 units in order to participate.  More information can be found on Professor Goldstein's website.

The Ancient Mesoamerica: Highland Mexico Field School will take place in central Mexico from September 4 - September 19, 2008.  This field school will be led by Professor Geoff Braswell.  Students will be required to enroll in ANAR 155 and ANAR 100 for a total of 8 units.  ANTH 198 can also be taken for an additional 4 units.  More information can be found by contacting the Anthropology Department.  The course handbook and enrollment form are linked here.
