Summer Session Travel Study 2009

This summer, two Travel Study programs are being offered through the Anthropology Department at UCSD. Both programs are led by UCSD faculty and will be field study courses allowing students to interact directly with faculty and subject matter on a daily basis.

The UCSD Rio Muerto Archaeological Field School will take place in Moquegua, Peru from July 5 - August 2, 2009 and will be led by Professor Paul Goldstein.  Students will be required to enroll in ANAR 119s for 8 units in order to participate.  Enrollment in ANAR 157 for an additional 4 units is optional.   More information can be found on Professor Goldstein's website or on Facebook "Rio Muerto Archaeological Project" or by contacting Professor Goldstein directly at pgoldstein@ucsd.edu.

Egypt of the Pharos: Egypt Field School will take place in Cairo, Egypt from September 6 - September 22, 2009.  This field school will be led by Professor Geoff Braswell.  Students will be required to enroll in 8 units.  An optional course can be taken for an additional 4 units.  More information can be found by contacting the Anthropology Department or by emailing Professor Braswell directly at gbraswell@ucsd.edu.
